Wendy

So you’ve stumbled upon my blog and browsed through a few posts. You are probably thinking, “who is this crazy girl who rambles on about stuff?” Well, I am just a typical idealistic 20-something, trying to find my place in the world. That idealism, however, faded somewhat as I faced many facets of realities in Cameroon as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Born in Taiwan, I spent my childhood in a bustling city of before passing my adolescent years in a suburb of Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.
After graduating from Saint Louis University in 2008, I abandoned Corporate America in search for a different kind of life – one without running water, but with the Internet. In that very different life, I found myself fostering culture exchange among Cameroonian, Chinese, French and the American people. Two incredible, and dare I pull the cliché - life changing – years later, I am pursuing graduate degree in Master of Public Administration. I have the fortune to study international development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and will complete my degree in New York at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where I will focus on international finance policy. Phew, that was a mouthful.
I am incredibly lucky and having spent time in Taiwan, the U.S. the U.K., France and Cameroon, I hope to continue my globe-trotting journey. Through this blog, I wish to not only document my journey but also share this experience with whomever that would read it. Besides wandering around the world, this 20-something enjoys the economics of things, the arts, a good book, a good cup of coffee, a good film and a good glass of wine.
Thanks for reading!
